The Spear's are a spirited family who enjoy having guests. Melody loves New England Farm Houses and David has a more modern aesthetic. The goal was to tie these two qualities into one design that looks original to the house. This mid-century home has a great open floor plan that flows from living area to dining to kitchen. That meant the 'kitchen' project was really a renovation of most of the first floor. Whimsical elements, for example the JuJu wall paper, are balanced with high function and doses of saturated color in strategic locations.
